Thunder Celebrate Christmas Early
After a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Hawks exact one week earlier, the Thunder set out to show KV that their previous three wins were not going to guarantee them a win today. The coaches set the practice plan and the team executed it in the game as the Thunder pummeled KV 7-0. It was a textbook game from start to finish as the Thunder showed KV what "Thunder Hockey" really was. Ryan got the Thunder on the board early and added another. Chad and Drew also chipped in with a pair, while Dylan banged home a goal. The defence was stingy and the goalies came to play as Johnny and Adam shared the shutout.
The Thunder look forward to the KV tournament where they plan on bringing the KV banner West.
Coach Doug would like to recognize the effort of the coaches and the team in getting prepared for this game. It just goes to prove when you practice perfect and take that work ethic to the game, good things happen. Way to go team!!!!!!! Also a thanks to the parents who cheered on the team!!
